Silva is a french fantasy novel, begun in 2004. Planned in three books, it's about the story of the black elf's royal family, the Silva, and three current heirs: Lliane, Geoffroy and William. Heirs of a ancient kingdom which dominates his neighbors since more than five millenniums, very ancient conflicts are going to re-appear, book after book, and confront them with more and more violent wars and with strange stakes.
Lliane, the heroine: it's the princess then the new queen of black elfs. She is Anadès's daughter, and the small sister of Geoffroy and William. Awkward with people and in political, whimsical, bad ruling and still very young, she has difficulty be respected. She often lets Geoffroy solve the problems on her place. She is 23 years old. Geoffroy and William : They are the elder sons of Anadès, they are twins. Geoffroy was raised to become the best support of Lliane when she would be a queen: very good strategist, intelligent, distant, quiet and responsible, he takes care of his brother and her sister. On the contrary, his twin William is very expansive, joyful and dynamic: the people love him enormously and he is often unconscious of problems which he can create. They are 28 years old. Anadès, their father: previous black elfs's king, he is the one who returned to their country its brilliance of former days. Very be afraid and respected, populates likes very much him, and trusts blind person him. Inflexible, cold, warlike redoubtable and of an almost sneaky intelligence, no country succeeded in overcoming him. He loves fervently his family and would make anything to protect her. Morquendi, the general-in-chief : Adopted by Anadès when he was child, he was raised by the king. Anadès always considered him as his elder son, but Morquendi has never claimed the throne, preferring to enlist of his father's army. It's an outstandingly effective and brilliant man, but of cold and austere appearance. He dedicated all his life to the army and to his foster family. His strange resemblance with affable Anadès however always a question: is he in reality an illegitimate child of king? Azrayen, :former slave became again free, it's master-assassin. Native of Restaz human empire's desert, he travels for some years as mercenary. Of a dark and solitary temperament, he will however agree to help Lliane and his brothers to reach the oldest place of worship of their civilization. He still ignores in this period that the fate is going to bind him in his turn to these antic trouble enter people. |
